An abandoned 1940s sanatorium complex that was never finished. A brutalist concrete skeleton standing against the desert wind. Local Intel: Best photographed at the "blue hour" just before sunrise. The massive cathedral-style church is open—enter at your own risk. It’s a haunting contrast of abandoned history and the nearby turquoise swimming cove.

The absolute western tip of Tenerife where the Teno mountains drop 600m vertically into the sea. Local Intel: Access is restricted to public transport only between 10 AM and 7 PM to preserve the silence. Take the #369 bus from Buenavista. From the lighthouse, look west to see the giant silhouettes of La Gomera and La Palma across the ocean.
